An academic researcher has to publish her PhD dissertation with a Danish publisher. She also uses EndNote and would like to develop an output style / standard that meets her own requirements.
The researcher contacts her local librarian, who helps her to devise an output style.
Before starting work on a new output style, the librarian asks the researcher to contact the publisher to find out whether they have any requirements with regard to managing references. As this is not the case, an output style is developed in the course of a week.
In the process, a few questions about the different types of sources arise, which the researcher answers promptly (per e-mail). The problem is solved and the researcher is very pleased to have received technical assistance.
