Calculate your h-index
The visibility and scope of an academic's work can be quantified by calculating the h-index. This index is expressed as one number which summarises an author's productivity as well as the impact of the individual's production.
The h-index is thus an alternative to traditional counting methods, which focus either on productivity or impact.
Since the h-index can never be higher than the number of articles an author has published, you have to have published a certain amount before this indicator makes sense.
